  • Pediatric Physical Therapy is process of helping children ages 0-21 improve their physical abilities and reach the right milestones to keep up with their peers. At Ability Innovations we achieve this through play!

Pediatric physical therapy is a specialized area of habilitative treatment that focuses on improving function in young children and babies. Physical therapy (PT) at Ability Innovations provided by a physical therapist who specializes in pediatrics. At AI play is implemented into Physical Therapy sessions to support the acquisition of skills in child development. Through this approach the child guides the activities while the therapist implements physical therapy strategies.

  • A child’s main occupation is play. At Ability Innovations we take this to heart. Being a play based pediatric therapy clinic, we allow children to use their main occupation of play to guide them to reaching their goals! Pediatric Occupational Therapy focuses on individuals ages 0-21, helping kids overcome struggles they may have in completing daily tasks.

Pediatric occupational therapy (OT) helps children of all ages who have physical, sensory, cognitive concerns/difficulties, etc. A primary goal of OT is to promote the participation in desired occupations (everyday activities). OT at Ability Innovations is designed to help kids learn through play to improve their school performance, fine motor skills, emotional regulation, sensory regulation, executive functioning, activities of daily living (bathing, hygiene, self-feeding, dressing, etc.), social skills, and more.

  • Pediatric Speech Therapy assists children 0-21 with any communication or language disorders they may have. At Ability Innovations our Pediatric Speech Therapists use play based methods to help your children learn while having fun.

Pediatric speech-language pathologists (SLPs) focus on assessing and treating communication and speech disorders in children. SLPs work with infants, toddlers, and adolescents to address expressive and receptive language delays, social pragmatic challenges, speech sound disorders, stuttering, and swallowing difficulties. They collaborate with parents and caregivers, employing a range of therapeutic techniques to enhance a child's communication skills. Ultimately, speech and language therapy provided by a licensed SLP aims to improve a child's overall ability to express themselves and communicate effectively.

  • Pediatric feeding therapy helps mealtime become something the family enjoys. At Ability Innovations we use play based methods to help your child obtain a more enjoyable experience from meal time. Our Feeding Therapists are trained in a variety of feeding approaches to help your child reach their goals the best way possible. We also help your child become comfortable around foods they may have aversions to. We help parents understand whether their child is just a picky eater, or has an aversion to certain kinds of food. We work with the child to overcome food aversion and lead a healthy life. Pediatric feeding therapy is for individual ages 0-21 and sessions are tailored to the child’s needs.

Feeding therapy focuses on helping a child to learn to eat or expand the variety of foods they are willing to eat. At Ability Innovations all feeding therapists are trained prior to providing feeding services. At AI all therapists use a responsive feeding approach to help children with any feeding difficulties (self-feeding skills or expanding variety). This approach puts the child as the one guiding the learning and the therapist helping with their learning experience.
